I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope. (Psalm 16:8-9)
Where is your focus? David said, “I have set the Lord always before me.” David said, “My focus is on God.” Here is what David found out, when your focus is on God then He is at your side. And if God is at your right side then nothing is going to move you!
Let’s break that down for a second. Your enemy is trying hard to get your focus off of God and onto your battles of the day. Because Satan knows if he gets you focused on your battles then he can shake you up.
Just like if you are on a diet and happen to go by the donut shop and you go in then you are in trouble. Because all the donuts will be out for you to see behind the glass and all it takes it just one to get your attention and then you will be taking a bite before you know it.
Satan wants you to focus on your battles, your problems and your fears because all it takes is for you to focus on just one and then he can shake you up. But if you keep your focus on God then God will remain at your side and you will not be shaken. While God is at your side, joy and hope will be yours.
