A few of my friends have been to South Africa and have done a thing called walking with the lions. They say it is a must do if you are in South Africa.
The ferocious beast are walking around seemingly harmless. They seem not to have a care in the world. But looks can be deceiving. The reason they can be so relaxed is they have nothing to fear. They have no shortage of food and no predators.
They may look harmless but they are the fiercest animals in the world. Sometimes, it may seem as though God is simply laying around when we don’t see Him at work and we think He is not doing anything.
Some people are even tempted to mock Him and deny that He even exists. I wonder why He doesn’t defend Himself. But truthfully God is not upset by their noise. As a matter of fact, Isaiah says in 31:4,
4 But this is what the Lord has told me: “When a strong young lion stands growling over a sheep it has killed, it is not frightened by the shouts and noise of a whole crowd of shepherds. In the same way, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will come down and fight on Mount Zion.
Look if you ever wonder why God is never anxious like we are, it is because He knows He has all power and He has everything under control. Remember you are walking with the Lion of Judah today. What do you have to fear?
