Fill in the blank for me. Life right now is . . . I hear you. Some are saying hard . . . others are saying difficult . . . for others terrifying . . . Some are saying . . . frustrating.
I hear you and I get it. But can I read you an encouraging scripture today?
John 10:10:
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
I hear you but life is bad right now for a lot of people. I get it. Remember the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. Right now the thief is the Coronavirus.
The Coronavirus is keeping us from doing things we enjoy. We can’t go to the mall, go to the movies or watch a sports game. We can’t gather in groups and see friends and family members. We can’t dine out at our favorite places to eat.
The truth is life is not found in all those things. Sure they bring happiness for the moment. But it is temporary and at times they may even disappoint you and let you down.
Real life, a full life is found only in the person of Jesus Christ. This will pass and we will return to life as we know it. Jesus says over and over again, that He alone is the giver of life.
Maybe this is the perfect time for us to reconnect with the giver of life. Jesus is the life giver.
He is the heart changer
He is the peace maker
He is the joy giver
Yes, Jesus Christ is the life giver. Take a moment and think about how Jesus Christ has affected your life.
