Pastor Lee and Gidget Athey Prodigal Son

    Luke says,

“For the Son of Man came to seek and save what was lost.”

Earlier in Luke 15, Jesus tells us stories about lost things. A lost Sheep, a lost Coin, and a lost child. Most of us know the last one which is the story of the Prodigal Son. In each of these stories we tend to focus on what is lost.

Why not today we focus on the Shepherd, the Woman and the Father because they all reveal the heart of God? They all three are wanting more than anything to be reunited with what was lost. They go searching frantically and they are waiting patiently to be reunited.Lost child

When my son was little, we had gone to underground Atlanta and somehow in the middle of a large crowd, I lost him. My heart stopped. I was in panic city. Gidget and I and our friends who were with us went looking everywhere. Thank goodness, we found Christian.

From the story of the Prodigal Son, the Shepherd, and the Woman we see the heart of our heavenly Father. Nothing hurts God more than to see one of his kids away from Him.
If you are away from God, now is the time to come back. He will welcome you back. Call me or private message me and I will be glad to take you back to Him.

For those who know the Father, let’s be ready to take the lost child back to their Father.

Today, I am asking you to spend time praying along with our church and 370,000 Assembly of God churches for a break in this Coronavirus.

Let us Pray.

Blessings,

Pastor Lee & Gidget Athey
