If you know who Edward Teach is, then you may have grown up along the eastern coast. Edward Teach began his life as a sailor in the English Navy and possibly fought in Queen Anne’s War.
But he became a traitor to his own country and became the most well-known pirate of all time. Many legends and tales have come from the life of Blackbeard. But eventually, he was defeated by the Royal Navy and was beheaded.
Long before Blackbeard, there was an angel in heaven who you might say was the first pirate and that was Lucifer. Lucifer fell in love with himself and thought he was greater than the God that created Him. He led a rebellion against God and God threw him and the fallen angels with him out of heaven.
Isaiah 14:12
“How you are fallen from heaven, O shining star, son of the morning! You have been thrown down to the earth, you who destroyed the nations of the world.
Today, Satan and his band of pirates are doing whatever they can to attack the Kingdom of God. Satan is dangerous but we must remember He is a defeated foe. When Jesus rose from the grave, it sealed the fate of the Kingdom of darkness.
Now through Jesus Christ, we have everything we need to stand against his attacks. I love the song, “Break Every Chain.” We are declaring victory over Satan and his kingdom in our lives.
