I love this statement from Acts 2:44
And all that believed were together . . .
Yes, I know we have not been physically together for 26 days now at church. But nothing brings the church together like celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. I enjoyed worshipping Jesus with the church online Sunday.
One thing I believe is that God often takes what was meant for our harm and turns it around for our good. One thing this pandemic has done, it has brought the church closer together. I have watched the church at large come together to share ideas and to help each other during this time. I have personally talked more with other pastors and church leaders than I have in a long time. That is a good thing.
And the local church has come together checking on each other, praying for one another, and letting our light shine during this time. It has been said that a crisis will either destroy you or make you stronger. I believe God is using this to make us stronger.
For an orchestra to sound great everyone must have their instrument in tune. It sounds to me like God is tuning His church. It doesn’t mean we all play the same instruments but it does mean we are all playing in tune to the Spirit’s calling.
The church has the greatest story to tell and we are all telling it by the instruments God has given us.
