Matthew 16:25
For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
One of the things, I have been doing during this time is reading through a 30 Day Journal called, “The Live Dead Journal.” It is a journal produced by the Assemblies of God dedicated to the brave men and women who are willing to leave America and go to the most dangerous places in the world to reach the unreached.
Those who go to dangerous places live as though they have already died. They remind me that Jesus did not die to keep me safe but to make me dangerous! As a church, we cannot afford to live life safe but we must continue to live life dangerously.
Now that does not mean, we need to stop practicing social distancing and washing our hands and following the recommendations of the CDC. But it does mean we need to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit.
People are hurting and scared and they are more open to the message of the Gospel than ever before. What an opportunity we have to share our faith with our family, friends, and neighbors.
The Holy Spirit may want to use you in some way to reach out to someone. I don’t know how God may want to use you during this time but know you were created for such a time as this. So keep your ears open and your eyes attentive.
