When my girls were little, every time they saw a cute puppy or little kitten, I would cringe. Now, let me say that we have a dog and a cat and they are great pets. But once their eyes saw the cute puppy or sweet little kitten, they were in love.
But the reason, I would cringe is because I am thinking about the long term commitment it takes to take care of another animal. So it was my job as a parent to make sure they understand the commitment they are taking on.
You are much more valuable to God than a pet. Since the day, God created you He was willing to make life time commitment to you. Don’t believe me? Listen to His Words in Isaiah 46:4
I will be your God throughout your lifetime — until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.
Wow! I really have a God who loves me that much? You sure do! He remain faithful to you throughout your life. The question is will you receive His care and His love.
