Pastor Lee and Gidget AtheyHide and Seek

As kids, we have all the played the game hide and seek. Maybe you had your favorite place to hide. Maybe you were great at the game. Hide and seek was never one of my favorite game. To be honest, I never liked spending my time looking for someone who was hiding. Many times, I would stop looking and go do something else. Hide and Seek

I am glad that God doesn’t make it hard for us to find Him. When the Apostle Paul preached to the people of Athens in Acts 17:27, he said this,

27 “His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him — though he is not far from any one of us.

This verse speaks a lot to me during this time which we live. So many times, God will use things like natural disasters and such to try and get man’s attention. But we should remember that God uses all kinds of things to try and get man’s attention. God will use good things and bad things.

Paul's not just talking about bad things or good things, but everything; and he answers, "God did this so that men would seek Him.”

Here is the thing. God is always using things in our lives to draw us closer to Him. Know that whatever circumstance you are in today, good or bad, God is wanting you to call out to Him. He is not far from any of us.

But bigger picture, God will use this virus to remind the world as they consider their own mortality that He is near and if they seek Him, He will be found. Let’s pray for doors of opportunity around the world that the Gospel will be spread.

Let us pray!

Blessings,
