Pastor Lee and Gidget Athey He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother

Our scripture today comes from Galatians 6:1-2  Brother

1 Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself. 2 Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.

This verse reminds me of a storm that hit a major city in the south and there was a great deal of flooding. A policeman saw a something that touched his heart.

It was a young boy carrying a little boy on his shoulder with all this luggage in his hands as well. The Policeman went over to the young boy and said, “Son, you are trying to do too much. You can’t carry this boy on your shoulders and all this stuff in your hands. It’s too much weight for you. IT IS TOO HEAVY.

The young boy looked at the policeman and said, “He ain’t heavy, he is my brother.”

When you know somebody is your brother, it makes it easier to bear the weight and carry them to safety. During this pandemic, who are you reaching out too? Who are you helping get through this?

Let us pray!

Blessings,
